Q: Pale Display colors

Hello,

recently I noticed my Retina Display on MacBook Pro Late 2013 is colorless and the blacks look very grey. I suspect the color profile is not correct in any way, because I also noticed when the Mac is restarted, the colorprofile seems perfect and a few seconds after the desktop is shown the displaycolors change to the weird colorless-grey.

In my monitor settings have set the standard Color-LCD Profile. When i try to calibrate the monitor in these settings, the calibration application won't let me do anything than set the color temperature, which does not help.Colors.jpg (The 2 Images were taken with burst mode right after restart)

    Hi m.heiderer,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

We understand that your MacBook Pro Retina (late 2013) is not displaying color and/or the resolution that you would expect. We see that you have attempted some great troubleshooting on your own as well, but the issue continues.

One step we would like you to complete is starting your Mac in safe mode. Starting in safe mode will reset the resolution on your Mac and will help us narrow down the situation. Follow the steps in the article below to start in safe mode.

OS X El Capitan: Start up in safe mode

After the Mac finishes starting up in safe mode, you can restart your Mac again from the Apple menu as normal to leave safe mode. Let us know if the issue continues after leaving safe mode.

    Cheers
