Q: Adjusted Date in Photos but iOS not syncing

I have adjusted dates on photos but my iPhone and iPad aren't synced. Is it possible to delete the photos from iOS and then sync?

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.4

    How are you "syncing" - If you use iCloud Photo Library they will

     

    No other method syncs changes - it is a one time sync when you do it - no future changes are synced

    I don't use iCloud Photo Library but have my Mac/Photos app as the master library.

     

    If I delete the photos from my iOS device and then re-sync from my Mac with the updated photo information (e.g. date, location), will the new information be transferred?
