Q: Photos shared from my Mac

I have a MacBook on which I store all my photos (from my camera and iPhone) using Apple's "Photos". Me and my parents started using family share, which worked out just fine until now. I found out that pictures from my Mac (which I never sent by email or whatsapp or anything) show up on another family members iPhone. We did not activate iCloud Stream or anything that would suggest that photos from my Mac would end up on somebody else's phone. I also checked all my settings and could not find out what was going on.

Does anybody have an idea?

Thank you.

They probably subscribed to your family share on their phone or they are using MyPhotoStream or iCloud Photo Library on their Mac and phone

And then they are able to see all my photos even though I don't have the photo stream activated myself? I thought the streaming only works if both persons have the streaming activated...

If you share a photo and they import it into their Photos library then they can share it, print it, stream it, what ever just like any other photo in their library - once you have shared it you have no control over it and your settings had nothing to do with it
