Sep 15, 2016 11:54 AM in response to David Bedfordby Scottp10,How could they let this slip with all the betas

Sep 15, 2016 12:20 PM in response to Jesse A Vby Jesse A V,I Found something interesting. I use hotmail as my email server. If I go to my "junk email" folder in the mail app the "delete all" button is missing. I can however select an email in there (one by one) and swipe it left. An option pops up saying "more flag delete". If you then select "more" then select "mark..." and then select "move to junk". If I do this, it creates a new folder on my email server and mail app called "junk". In this new "junk" folder is the option to "delete all".
It is for this reason that I think there is a problem with the mail app recognizing the existing junk folder. Again, the bigger complaint, why isn't that option available in all mail folders?

Sep 15, 2016 1:54 PM in response to Scottp10by David Bedford,To be honest I think Apple relies more on the public beta members rather than its own programmers to sort issues out.
As you say how could they miss this one?
Had similar issues with iOS 9 final release when you couln't delete previously used email addresses which werent in your contacts address book. Was finally fixed.. but took too long.

Sep 16, 2016 7:57 AM in response to David Bedfordby kamad,Yes, and how many years have we waited to have this feature and now we are back to deleting one by one again.
Apple told me because some dumb people did't realize that "trash ALL" meant "ALL" so they took the feature away because of people that don't know what "ALL" Means. What about us that do know hat "ALL" means? Would be nice to have it as an option at least in settings. How about that apple. Do you think you can manage that? Steve jobs would have!!!

Sep 17, 2016 11:15 AM in response to fireftr075by jackvans,Grrr, was so happy with the "Move to trash" in iOS 9! Don't understand why Apple is not empathising with its customers: arrogance?

Sep 18, 2016 9:12 AM in response to David Bedfordby Tcarter42,Took long enough for the delete 'ALL' function that was finally added in OSI 9 and now it's disapeared in OSI 10.
Apple sort this out asp please. You should be continually improving NOT going backwards.

Sep 19, 2016 1:22 PM in response to David Bedfordby Mhartler,Hi,
Found this on another site. Ugly but works...
Just Found this solution on the cult of mac website:
You can still trash all emails at once... it's just more convoluted.
Go to your inbox, Tap Edit, then Mark All, and then Mark All as Read. This will then close the Edit mode.
Tap Edit again, and tap the top message in the inbox. Press and hold the Move button with your thumb.
While holding the Move button, uncheck the top message, and then release the Move button.
You will then be on a screen with a trash icon, click it and your emails are deleted.
Not quite as simples as the old way but it solves the problem.

Sep 19, 2016 2:30 PM in response to David Bedfordby Holle007,There is only the option to delete / select all in trash mails but no longer in spam or comparable - very annoying! And after years finally getting Apple to support this option there is no way of understanding, why they removed it! Apple???

Sep 19, 2016 2:30 PM in response to Mhartlerby David Bedford,Good work..
Its a solution , a long winded solution but does not really solve the problem, that will only be done by reinstatement of the removed function, DELETE ALL (click).
