Q: El Capitan ruined Word 2011! Help!
I have a "early 2011" MacBook Pro with a version of Word/Excel/PowerPoint that was installed in 2011 when I bought the computer. I've done the Apple operating system upgrades and Microsoft upgrades all along, but when I upgraded to El Capitan recently, my Word program started blowing up. I see plenty of other people posting the problem, but I can't seem to find a "fix" that has been posted in recent months. I though my having only 4GB of memory was the problem, so I upgraded to 8GB, and while some things seem better, I still get error messages in Word ("not enough disk space.." etc.) I have 100GB still free on hard drive. So, what's the fix? Should I buy a newer version of Office, or does the continuously updating of my original Office keep me up to date? Should I go back to an earlier OS version? I really need Word to work well and be stable.
MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), OS X El Capitan (10.11.5), Upgraded ram from 4GB to 8GB

Thanks. I bought and downloaded Office 2016 for Mac and it works much better.
