Sep 19, 2016 2:01 AM in response to Techno_Appleby eclecticandrew,★HelpfulWhen you say monitor, do you mean monitor the audio output of the RS-9, or use it as a midi controller? If you want to record the audio output of the synth, you need to connect a cable from the audio output to the sapphire, set up an audio input track in Logoc and make sure input monitoring is on. From your description, it sounds like you have the synth set up as a controller keyb rather than an instrument.
i'm more of a guitarist but that's how you get a guitar sound into Logic as an audio signal.
hope that helps!

Midi does not carry audio. To hear audio from your Roland, take two jacks from the Roland out to two audio inputs on your interface. Create either two mono or one stereo track in Logic and set the inputs of those tracks to the relevant ones on your audio interface.

I've had a word with Focusrite. I did not recognize the dual input ports on the front of the focusrite. The Saffire 6 does have two 1/4" jack inputs.

Sep 19, 2016 2:03 AM in response to Techno_Appleby Techno_Apple,I'm now monitoring the RS-9 through the Mac with Logic Pro X.
There is a time delay? Why isn't the monitor sound instantaneous in real time?
