Q: 13'' Macbook Pro Web Design only + Monitor

Hey guys!

A friend is gonna give me as a gift a 13'' macbook pro + 1 monitor.

These are the specs of the mac:

2.6GH  Intel i5

512GB SSD

Intel Iris 1536MB

8GB 1600Mhz DDR3  The monitor is: LG 34UM95C-P

I am only a UI designer. I dont code or anything like that. So my idea is do you think it would handle normally  first the LG monitor? Second: would it run OK Photoshop, Sketch and some youtube or chrome tabs open at the same time. PS + Sketch wont be open at the same time all the time.

Yes, you should not have much problem, that's quite a gift.

PS for web you'll be fine. if you use PS for print work, a little less.

any 3D app including sketch can be CPU intensive. If your projects are not too complex you should be fine as well.

Developers generally included system specs for their software. If your system meets their minimum you can run the software.

The "bottleneck" in that system is the integrated graphics, generally dedicated GPU from the same generation will give far superior performance but the rest of that system will be very good for what you need.

LG monitor is compatible with Mac, so you can connect each other via thunderbolt to HDMI adapter.

Secondly, I think you can do what you want.
