Q: Songs removed from my iPhone still play when connected to wifi
Had this problem previously, but it stopped happening a while ago only to re-emerge with the iOS 10 update.
I'm operating on an iPhone 6 and usually play my song library on shuffle.
Over the years I have removed certain songs from my song library, but they remain available to re-download on iCloud.
However, from time to time, if I'm playing songs on shuffle when connected to wifi, one of these removed songs will stream to my phone and play. It does not download to my phone and remains only available to download from iCloud.
Is there any way to stop these removed songs from playing on my phone altogether when connected to wifi?
I'll add that I'm not on any subscriptions either except to increase my iCloud storage.

I believe that you open the music app, select "downloaded music" then make your selection from there. If you do not select the "downloaded music" first it will play all the songs you've purchased.
