Q: Mac Mini (Mid 2010) fan running full speed
I switched out the OEM hard drive a few years ago for a SSD and the fan runs all the time. I see there is a connector on the board that doesn't have any connection to it.
I've read that this happens when the thermal sensor isn't placed on the new hard drive.
How many connection should there be coming off the hard drive to connect to the board?
How can I fix this?
TIA

As I recall there are 2 thermo sensors on the HD of a 2010 Mac Mini.
(1 on the end of HD that is taped half way down the side and 1 on the SATA connector)

Both sensors must be re-used and re-attached to the main board when the Drive is replaced.
