Q: Two-page view not working correctly in iOS 10

Need a slider that asks 1 or 2 column, not the app "deciding"

TThis has driven me to frustration as well and I have left feedback.

I Have the same problem and am very disappointed because I too prefer the larger font with the scroll turned off for easier reading.    i hope Apple will fix this on the next update.

I would suggest we all leave feedback that we don't like this. It is a feature of iOS 10, so it's not going away unless we make a big noise about it. I just downgraded my iPad Mini so I don't have to deal with it.

This is really disappointing from Apple. Just fix the two page view already.

Reading a single page in landscape mode is horrible.  Hopefully they will fix this or I'll have to do more of my reading on Kindle for iPad.

Exact same problem.  Hope Apple fix this problem asap.  Very much disappointed with this change.  It makes the iBook reading experience very unpleasant.

It's hosed in portrait mode too! I prefer to read portrait with a single column on my iPad, but at the smaller font sizes it breaks into two columns.

Thank you for sharing this. I have the same issue, of course. I've contacted Apple support here in Italy and the Apple guy who replied wrote to me that there are not known issues concerning this. I referenced to this post, so I hope they will look into it asap. Right now, I', afraid the only "solution" is the one mentioned in you post.

I'm sorry I downgraded to iOS 10. I really miss having the 2-page view in iBooks in landscape mode.

Apple, please bring it back.

As Indagador said earlier in this discussion if you just change the font, you do not have to change the size of the font, just change to a different name, for example the default font that is used, is called "Original", but if you change your font to Palatino, ibooks then shows the two page layout in landscape again! Enjoy.....

I had a hard time with this as well, but after playing around a bit, this seems to be the only solution, and it works!

Maybe it is a bug, or oversight, but there is a solution......

That doesn't work for me. No matter what font I change to, unless the font size is smaller than I am comfortable with, I get a one-page layout on my iPad.

Changing the font doesn't work! At least not for me. Apple really needs to fix this unless they want people to start shopping for other options. I just don't understand why they would change the two page view.
