Q: Connecting an iPod to an Android Ultra HD TV

Is possible to connect an ipod touch 6G running os x 10.0.1  to a Sony Android TV.

I would like to display or mirror my photos on the large screen and maybe control my TV with the iPod.

So far I have been unable to get my ipod to connect using either wi-fi or bluetooth it searches but does not connect.

Hope someone has a suggestion or can tell me if this is not possible to do.

You can get an Apple TV and connect that to your Android TV and use AirPlay.

You can also get a cable that connect to the Lighting port of the iPod and to the TV. See:

Some apps may support using the Chromecast dongle connected to the TV to "cast" that apps screen to the TV.

I do not kknow if your TV supports Chromecast directly without using the Chromecast dongle

Thanks for the tips.  I have a lightning to HDMI adapter so I can set up a wired connection per your first suggestion.  I was wondering if I could connect directly without purchasing an apple tv as both units have wi-fi and bluetooth.

Only if the TV supports Chromecast without the Chromecast TV dongle noting that only apps that support Chromecast with cast to the TV.

Apple's Airplay require an Airplay Receiver and it the TV is compatible the AirPlay icon in the iPOd's Control Panel will show and can be used. I am not aware of any real TVs that support AirPlay video
