Sep 17, 2016 3:22 PM in response to Yarliby Jtcray0656,I Have same issue. I have an email setup to receive security notices that
sends me notices several
hundred times a day. So now I also have to scrap
mail provided on iPhone and go to outlook app which has its
own issues.
Wby go backwards. If this is problemfor people
that use inbox as filling cabinet then create a switch
where those people can turn delete all function off.
With all the functionality they provide for controlling
the colors, add back something that really matters
for the efficient use of the phone.
Thanks

Sep 18, 2016 5:25 AM in response to irina_wby Lucywilliams7,Your directions only work in the "Trash" folder for a mail folder. This does not work in the "Inbox" of the mail folder. Many of us have mail accounts that receive messages that we need to delete in mass blocks. I sure hope Apple fixes this oversight soon.

Sep 18, 2016 7:27 PM in response to Alisonlowe76by Prince17,Apple, please put this 'Delete All' back. It was incredibly useful. I too only have 'Mark All' in Blue, which means we have to tick off every single entry, rather than delete the lot in one go. Why would you remove such a useful tool? I look forward to its return asap.

Sep 19, 2016 5:58 AM in response to Alisonlowe76by jmush1,Agreed. This is super annoying. I frequently select every message in my Inbox to archive in one swoop.

Sep 19, 2016 12:52 PM in response to irina_wby Mhartler,Hi Irina,
When I click Edit the "Mark All" is blue but my "Trash" is greyed out. The only choice you get to from "Mark All" is "Mark as Read" or "Flag". Delete All or Trash never get highlighted.

Sep 19, 2016 1:21 PM in response to Alisonlowe76by Mhartler,★HelpfulHi,
Found this on another site. Ugly but works...
Just Found this solution on the cult of mac website:
You can still trash all emails at once... it's just more convoluted.
Go to your inbox, Tap Edit, then Mark All, and then Mark All as Read. This will then close the Edit mode.
Tap Edit again, and tap the top message in the inbox. Press and hold the Move button with your thumb.
While holding the Move button, uncheck the top message, and then release the Move button.
You will then be on a screen with a trash icon, click it and your emails are deleted.
Not quite as simples as the old way but it solves the problem.

Sep 19, 2016 2:42 PM in response to Mhartlerby AJD1170,You get a gold star for this one, Marc. It looks like quite a few folks have inquired/complained about this problem. I hope they find your solution (and I hope Apple wises up and fixes it).
Thanks.

Sep 19, 2016 2:55 PM in response to irina_wby jcdanz,Absolutely not helpful for me - there is no "Delete All in blue" only 'flag;' 'mark as read;' and 'cancel'- all in blue!

Sep 20, 2016 7:42 AM in response to irina_wby Troyxx,Not sure if you updated to ios10 because your instructions are not true in ios 10.
-
Sep 20, 2016 7:43 AM in response to Alisonlowe76by mismas,TThe solution given here does NOT work....edit > mark all. There is no Delete option on "flag" and "mark as read" very annoying to have to delete every email one by one. Not to mention bad idea to have to "open" a spam message as it will only result in more spam....please fix this ASAP. It should never have changed in the first place.

Sep 20, 2016 8:50 AM in response to irina_wby michaelcctx,This no longer works for iOS 0 -- please give us an updated answer that is correct or tell Apple to fix this bug and give us back the option to "delete all" that we had in iOS 9
