Q: Can't restore iPhone 7 Plus
I was attempting to set up my iPhone 7+ using "Restore from iCloud backup" and that restore attempt crashed on me. I rebooted the phone and was immediately shown the connect to iTunes graphic. So I connected the phone via the cable and iTunes gives me a popup that says "You iPhone can't be updated; you must restore it to factory settings." So I click the "Restore" button to attempt to do that. I get another popup that says "Are you sure you want to restore the iPhone "iPhone" to its factory settings? All of your media and other data will be erased, and the newest version of the iPhone software will be installed." I click the "Restore and Update" button.
iTunes then downloads the latest software. I see it display Extracting software > Preparing iPhone for restore... > Waiting for iPhone...
The iPhone then shows the Apple logo and the progress bar, but the progress bar never fills. Then I get an error message from iTunes saying "The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (6).
Not sure what I can do since the phone has never been set up. I can't get to any screens on the phone other than the Connect to iTunes screen and i'm not sure how to put the phone in DFU since it never even gives me an option to turn the phone off when I hold the sleep/wake button.

I figured it out. Seems like there was something blocking the restore process from happening due to the network at my job. Worked correctly once I tried it at home. Oddly enough I was able to restore a iPhone 6 at work, but not the 7+
