Q: AWS jpg image renders as gibberish

@John Galt: Thank you for your response.

As stated in my original post, I had previously done everything listed in your linked Apple Support page* but following your post I have gone through the listed steps very carefully again (except for the final step "If Safari doesn't load pages from multiple sites"). The issue still remains: Safari renders the Amazon S3 image url*** as gibberish whilst Google Chrome renders the same image url correctly.

I will be upgrading to macOS Sierra** following it's release today and I will report back here whether or not the issue is then resolved.

*System Preferences-->Users & Groups-->[My admin account]-->Enable parental controls is not, and never has been, enabled

***the issue seems to occur to all 161 Amazon S3 images and although, in this context, I am not the S3 account owner, I have else wise confirmed that there are no S3 resource access restrictions on these particular images

The upgrade to macOS 10.12 (16A323) containing Safari 10.0 (12602.1.50.0.10) has resolved this issue.
