Q: Maps not showing in Mavericks Calendar

Simply that, when I add location information to my calendar items nothing happens.  No maps, no travel times, no nothing.  They just sit there as static information.  Is anybody else having this problem, and has anybody fixed it?  There's another thread (https://discussions.apple.com/message/23468878) with this same problem, but it fixed itself in that situation and was marked as answered.

When your Mac hosts a wi-fi network with Internet Sharing, it can't be connected to the Internet via wi-fi at the same time. (That's explained in this article.) That's fine for me because my Mac is connected to the Internet via Ethernet. But it makes me wonder if the Calendar app is still trying to get location information via wi-fi, not realising that it can't connect that way. That's pure speculation, and would suggest some pretty poor programming on Apple's part, since the OS should provide seamless Internet access to the Calendar app regardless of how it's connected.
