Q: Some email comes to iPhone but not to Mac

Recently some, but not all, mail to one of my two email accounts (not the "me.com" account but from my local ISP) arrives on my iPhone but not on my Mac (both devices using newest OS). I can find nothing in Settings, System Prefs, or anywhere else which might explain the problem.

MacBook Air, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6), + other Macs & Apple stuff, etc.

How is this account setup? IMAP? POP?

    Thanks for the quick reply.

POP. A friend just suggested I change the setting for that account on my Mac: to uncheck "Remove copy from server after retrieving a message" (which had been checked until now). Maybe that'll help.

That's the thing. If you have a POP account and it is set as you describe, the first device that receives the message deletes it. You may keep it as POP but change the setting so a message is deleted only, say, a week after being downloaded. That will give time for the other device to also get it before it is gone.

Thank you, Luis. I did some testing, and it's just as you described. I've now changed the setting to simply not delete at all, and I'll see whether this causes any problem, like overfill on the server end, but I'll deal with that if/when the need arises.
