Q: Photos OSX stop synch with iCloud

Hello

Photos OSX stop synch with iCloud.

In the Shared Tab is this message:

iCloud Photo Sharing is only available in the System Photo Library

I got this problem after a major crash which force me to make a Clean Install.

In my iPhone and MacAir iCloud is in synch, no problem at all.

I have two more old Photos Library that are not in use. This two Libraries dont synch.

Any help appreciate

Mac Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5), MacPro4,1 32GB

Have you enabled your current Photos Library as the System Photo Library?

You do this in in the Photos > Preferences > General.

The option "Use as System Photo Library " should be grayed out to indicate it is your System Photo Library.  Only one library, enabled as the system Photo Library, can sync with iCloud.

The Photos Preferences > General should look like this, when you are using the library you want to sync to iCloud.

The System Photo Library must not be on a drive used by Time Machine.

Only the system library will sync with iCLoud Photo Library and only one library can be the system library at a time

If you want to merge them all into one library designate each as the system library in sequence and after the upload is complete to the next - at teh end the last library will contain all photos from all libraies

    Thank you to all!

What I did is to move the "old and problematic" Libraries to the Desktop.

I open Photos app holding Option key and create a New Library. Go to Preference and enabled the New Photo Library as the System Photo Library.

After that I download my full iCloud Photos to the New Library, will take some time.

Now everything (MacPro, Air, iPhone) its in Synch.

Keep In mind that this will not work for you, depends of you iCloud configuration.
