Q: iPhone 5c IOS 10 Contacts Screen Formatting Offset

Hi, I just updated my iPhone 5c to 10.0.1.  After recovering from the common Bricking Issue with a full iTunes Backup, the phone looks pretty good.  But, when I went in to look at any of the contacts, I noticed that much of the data is overwritten over the Field Text and after Rotating the Phone, it Squeezes some of the data to the very left hand side of the phone when holding the phone in the Portrait position.  You can read the data if you Rotate back to Landscape, but there are several other minor issues that need fine tuning as well.

    Hi SimiGuy,

I understand that when looking at your contacts on your iPhone after updating to iOS 10, the formatting can be off and squeeze the characters to one side. I know it's important to be able to easily and uniformly read your contacts, so I'm happy to help.

Often when an app isn't behaving as expected, forcing it to close can help. You can see how to do that here:

Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Once you've forced the contacts app to close, try restarting your iPhone and testing it again. This article explains how to do that:

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If you continue to have issues with this after these steps, please let us know any additional troubleshooting you may have done.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Cheers!

    Norm123,

Thanks for the reply.  I did try those things, but unfortunately it did not help, but I thought I noticed that when I Rotated the phone to the Horizontal position, the data in the lengthy Notes field all displayed just fine.  So, I realized I had set my Font Size pretty Large in the Accessibility Options and decided to try reducing the Font size a bit and low and behold that corrected the  problem.  The Contacts App just did not know to auto-format for the Largest Text size but did just fine if it was adjusted down just about 20%.

Thanks.  Maybe this will help others.
