Sep 20, 2016 11:44 AM in response to EdgarmLopesby Tesserax,AirDrop is part of both the OS X & iOS operating systems. Assuming that you either performed a complete reinstallation or a Time Machine restore onto the new SSD drive, it should still be there. AirDrop is not a standalone application.
To "see" the AirDrop folder in Finder, do the following:
- Open a Finder window.
- From the Finder menu on the OS X menu bar, select Finder > Preferences
- Select the Sidebar option in the Finder Preferences window.
- Enable AirDrop under the Favorites section.
