Q: notification can be viewed when the screen is locked

Hi All,

I noticed that after my iPhone was upgraded to latest ios version, the notifications on the lock screen can be viewed without unlocking the screen. This is a serious bug, and there is not privacy.

    Greetings dpksm10,

Thanks for your post on the Apple Support Communities. I see that your notifications are showing up on the lock screen. I know privacy is important to me. I’ll be happy to help.

You can choose what notifications are available on the lock screen. You can open Settings > Notifications and choose the app you want to change, and turn off “Show on Lock Screen.”

If you are just looking for privacy for email and text messages you can allow them on the lock screen, but disable “Show Previews” which will show you have a new message but will not show the content of the message.

    Have a great week!
