Q: Partition problem

Hello, I've faced the problem with Disk Utitility after trying to install Windows via bootcamp (failed attemt). I want to have one solid drive as it was before but I cannot merge all these partitions because of this one little part that refuses to be deleted. I've tried restarting my Mac in recovery mode, same result. Help me, please :-).

Please only remove a Boot Camp created volume with Boot Camp Assistant. If you attempt to do so using Disk Utility then you will corrupt the boot block and make it impossible to remove it. Then you will need to repartition the drive back to a single volume and reinstall OS X.

You had an external storage device connected when partitioning/installing Windows. You need to backup OS X to a Time Machine destination disk, erase the internal disk, and restore the backup of OS X.

There are Terminal commands which can do the same thing. From OS X Terminal, please post the output of

    diskutil list

    diskutil cs list
