Q: Latest Software Update - 10.0.1

The latest software upgrade sent over the network to my phone today is doing way too much, and now my phone has become unresponsive to clicking phone options, i.e., Favorites, Recents, Contacts, Keypad, Voicemail.  Sounds have changed, messages from Facebook Messenger have changed, the way I get to my passcode has changed; what else could go wrong with this update and can I go back to the previous one?

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 10, null

Putting apps into the move mode is a little more difficult with the 6S series of phones because of 3D Touch. Instead of pushing and holding the icon to get them to wiggle, you have to just gently lay your finger on the icon.

Nevermind - I figured it out.  One has to touch the icons very lightly to get them to "quiver".

I just now figured that out but thanks for the reply.

Sheesh..... there's a "post limit" in a support forum.

You're welcome. Not sure what you are referring to as a post limit.

I'm guessing new users can't post too many in a short time. Spam prevention.

Well, the forced or hard reset seemed to work, and then when I was trying to copy from one app and paste to another with both windows open, the paste option wouldn't appear in the Message.  Strange enough, I did it the hard way at first by closing one app, open the other, and the paste option appeared.  From there, I opened up the other app so I could double-click the circle to have multiple apps open, and that seemed to work.  I swear this is a rather glitchy update.  Also found out that I may have gone from the last version of IOS 9 straight to 10.0.1, and that may have caused some of this, according to the guy I was talking to.  Too late to do anything about that, though!  Do people usually put completely unrelated posts in the middle of other posts?  LOL

When I moved from the iPhone 6 Plus to the iPhone 6s Plus, I found out that I had to press very lightly to get the quivering to happen too!

I would like to add that iOS 10 is garbage. The one and only feature I like is the finger taps in messenger. Photos is horrible. Lock screen is horrible. Font is ugly. Another dumb app taking up space I don't want (Home app). Extremely disappointed with this version Apple. Dev team *****. Get back to what you are good at, leading the industry not following.

If you don't like the Home app then remove it (and other Apple apps you don't want).

That dumb app is removable. This is the first version that allows users to remove (some) built-in apps.

Remove built-in Apple apps from the Home screen on your iOS device with iOS 10 - Apple Support
