Q: Pages and spinning ball problems

I've always used Pages but since upgrading to El Capitan recently, I've tried to save a document in pdf format from doc but the spinning ball of fate has appeared and can't stop it nor quit Pages. Help!

iPhone 5s, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)

    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. 

    I understand from your post that after updating to OS X El Capitan, you are no longer able to save a document from Pages to PDF as you get a spinning ball on your screen and cannot stop or quit it. I know how important it is for your Mac to be running smoothly for you after updating the software. I recommend testing the issue while your Mac is in Safe Mode and/or in a new user account.
