Q: App shows on computer but not iPhone

I am trying to sync an app from my iMac to my iPhone 4s.  When looking at the sync screen on the computer it shows that it has been added.  However, when I am on my phone, it is not there. How do I get it to actually sync to the phone or un-hide it?  I am also having this problem with my iPhone 6.

iPhone 4S, iOS 9.3.5, null

Is the app in your Mac iTunes?

    Is Mac iTunes version 12.5.1?

The app is in the Mac iTunes and I have 12.5.1.  The family has 4 phones - two iP6 and two iP4s.  It is working and syncing with one of each phone.  On the other 2 phones, when hooked up to iTunes, the Mac iTunes screen shows the app installed on those two phones; however, if I look at the actual phone, it isn't there.  Any ideas?

    Thanks!

If the iPhone is selected in iTunes, in the Apps screen and you see Install, means the app is not installed.

You need to cllck the Install button and the the Sync button(bottom right) to install.

If it's already on the iPhone, it will show Remove.

That is correct...in the Apps screen I see that the App is installed and that it could be removed...the problem is, it is not showing on the phone even though the Apps screen shows that it is.  Could it be hidden on the phone but not hidden on the Mac Apps screen?

    Which iPhone model?

    Which iOS version?

Can you search on the iPhone use Spotlight u7for the app?

Maybe the app is in a folder?

How many app pages do you have on the Home Screen?

Can you post screenshot here so that we are on the same page?

I have an iPhone 6 and iPhone 4S

iPhone 6 has iOS 10; the iPhone 4S 9.3.5 (the 4S will not update to the 10)

The app doesn't show up using Spotlight on either phone

iPhone 6 has 6 app pages on home screen; the 4S has 3 pages.

The app is in a folder on the iMac iTunes screen, but doesn't show on the phone.

This is the iMac iTunes screen for the 4S (the app in question is Podcast and CBS Sports).  The iMac info (left side) says that CBS Sports is on the phone (i.e., Remove is my option)

This is the same screen on the phone

As you can see, the Podcasts and CBS Sports are not there.
