Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on this device.
- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
- Press and hold on the Home button
- Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.
Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings
If this does not help, restore your device to factory settings. Note that this will erase the data from your device.
Take a look this Apple Support article: Use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

Sep 20, 2016 10:19 PM in response to LucoBrasiby harshalbedare,Hi LucoBrasi,
Thank you for the quick response.
I tried to switch off & switch on the cell. But its still the same. Few of my friends who have recently updated the IOS, are facing this problem.
Factory resetting I would say wont be feasible, as data will be lost.
Kindly suggest any other alternative solution.
Also it would be great help if you could suggest, is there any way to downgrade the IOS (IOS version 9).
Thanks & Regards,
Harshal

Sep 21, 2016 12:35 PM in response to harshalbedareby corvairkid,I'm having the same problem with my iPhone 5C since updating to iOS 10.
My iPhone 5S, however, is not having any battery problems.
Settings on both phones are the same.
Strange....

Sep 21, 2016 5:52 PM in response to harshalbedareby Ragenator,I posted this on another thread a few days ago too. I believe it's the latest iOS update 10.0.1 that is to blame. I have 2 iPhoine 7's (not the plus model). One has the iOS 10 and the other has 10.0.1 and its that one that drains super fast. Very annoying!
If that's not the culprit, then the phone is a lemon and I have so many days to return it to the AT&T store. There have been a few reports of bad iPhone 7's out there.
There are numerous of other iPhone users experiencing the same thing with iOS 10.0.1
Apple needs to do another update quick.

Sep 21, 2016 6:18 PM in response to LucoBrasiby psikofunkster,Sure downgrade it is not supported by Apple but it is out there if you want to do it. Apple is still signing ios 9.3.5 and ios 10 is having battery issues so...
Obvioulsy if you have an iphone 7 you can't downgrade, you must pretty much wait for the next firmware release and hope your issue gets fixed.
