Q: Login Problems with Yosemite
I've posted this question before and there were no solutions suggested, so I'm reposting in the hopes someone else my see it and offer a solution.
I'm currently using an iMac 27", late 2012 running OS X 10.11.5. I have an intermittent problem that keeps occurring after waking the iMac from sleep or changing users using fast user switching. When I try to enter my password, I type my password, and nothing appears at first in the password field. Then, text is automatically entered in the password field and fills the entire field like if I was holding a key down that repeats a letter. I can delete the text, and try to enter my password again, and the same thing happens. No text is entered initially, then text automatically appears. I don't know what the text is, since it is hidden from view and appears as dots. The only cure for this behavior is to force a shut down of my iMac by holding in the power button until it shuts down. This problem was pretty intermittent, but has been occurring more frequently lately. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a cure?
Thanks!
iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)
