Oct 15, 2016 7:15 AM in response to micagiusby noceremus,Something similar happened to my Mac Mini , not detecting the monitor after the update to MacOs Sierra . Only temporary solution was to reset NVRAM , each time I have to start. I restored ElCapitan with TM and the issue is gone. I guess we need to wait for next update.

Oct 15, 2016 10:42 AM in response to micagiusby alex7375,I had a similar problem once. My external display was not working with a Display port adapter.
It turned out the adapter was not making a good contact with my MacBook Pro display port.
Solution: was to power off the MacBook pro and clean out the MacBook display port with a can of compressed air which I purchased at Walmart.
