Q: tty software ios10 calls dropped

I just updated my iOS, mainly to use the TTY software features. I tried calling a TTY number, and I would get their first message, but then after I sent one, I would be on the line with no response and then dropped. I tried this twice. So then I tried their relay software for another call, and that was dropped after my first message as well. My Sprint relay app worked fine as per usual to that same number. Has anyone else been using this and having problems? I'm wondering if it is a software issue or cell reception issue. I had wifi on too, but it might be using data like a regular call.

    Hi snen,

I understand that you are having some issues with TTY calls not staying connected after updating to iOS 10. I know that it's important to have accessibility features that make your iPhone work well for you, so I'm happy to help.

Whenever there's a possibility of a cellular connection issue, it's always a good idea to test the issue again in an area with a known good cellular reception.

You can also try toggling TTY off and then on again on your iPhone. To do that open Settings > General > Accessibility > TTY and turn off Software TTY. Wait a few seconds and then enable it again. You can read more about TTY here:

It's normal that hearing on phone get drop for no reason. Try to get better signal on other side. Don't be closer to heat tank, laundry room or any noise area. They been suggest that to me.
