Jun 16, 2016 5:43 AM in response to daobaolongby corvairkid,I have done what you suggested, daobaolong, and so far it seems to be working. I also previously downloaded Outlook 2011 update 14.6.5. That did not fix the window size problem. Hoping your idea works! Thanks. -
Jun 16, 2016 6:14 AM in response to daobaolongby corvairkid,Well, that didn't last very long daobaolong. A few minutes after trying your idea, the window size problem with Outlook 2011 returned. So, it's back to minimizing instead of closing the Outlook window. Thanks for trying! -
Jun 18, 2016 1:10 AM in response to corvairkidby charliebn,All very odd. In my case, ever since downloading 14.6.4 a month ago the window-sizing issue went away for me. Since then we've had 14.6.5 and it's still good & GONE AWAY - thank God. I wonder what the cause actually is?

Jul 6, 2016 10:21 AM in response to corvairkidby hschmidt,Here is what worked for me. Right click and hold on the Outlook icon in your dock. Choose "Options" then "Desktop on Display 1". I have a MacBook Air plugged into an Apple monitor. For some reason Outlook was resizing to fit the laptop not the large monitor.
Hope this helps. -
Jul 11, 2016 9:31 AM in response to corvairkidby aero1247e,Have today update Office 2016 to 15.25, which is the fast-track 64-bit version released recently. Haven't re-openend Outlook much since then but so far so good.

The window size problem with Outlook for Mac 2011 remains unresolved for me and many others.

Finally, thanks Adobe

Sep 20, 2016 6:27 PM in response to FUZZY DUNL0Pby corvairkid,Well, I'm sorry to say...I upgraded to OS Sierra today with high hopes, but the window size problem with Outlook for Mac 2011 persists.
The first time I closed the Outlook window and re-opened it, it opened like a little box, as it has since I upgraded to El Capitan.
I'm so used to minimizing instead of closing the Outlook window that it doesn't matter anymore to me.
I don't care anymore.

Sep 21, 2016 12:07 PM in response to corvairkidby Mann,I did an upgrade to macOS Sierra and the problem still exists in Photoshop CS6, Photoshop CC, InDesign CS6, Illustrator CS6.
Apple is unable or unwilling to solve the problem. Apple focuses more on iphone hipsters than on Desktop publishing professionals. That *****!
