Sep 21, 2016 12:35 PM in response to techbot93by x64uk,Some additional info: I've also submitted feedback (but I neglected to include a link to this thread).
I also tried iTunes (12.5.1 and an earlier version) on an entirely different Win10 pro v1607 x64 PC. The PC had a very basic Windows installation. The earlier iTunes version displayed the playback preferences correctly. I then updated to 12.5.1 and immediately the playback prefs were greyed out.

Sep 28, 2016 4:52 AM in response to techbot93by P Doff,Same problem here, the issue occurred immediately after the most recent iTunes update, the Windows "Anniversary Update" had yet to be installed. That update has now been installed & I have uninstalled/re-installed iTunes which actually ended up reducing my sound quality by going from 96kHz 24bit to 44.1kHz 16bit so I can't even restore it to where it was! Arrrrrgh!!

Sep 28, 2016 3:42 PM in response to P Doffby KitchenKnives,Yep, exactly the same issue here. Infuriating. Tried the alternate 64-bit download and it worked, but has no access to Apple Music, rendering the entire program useless for me.
