    Hi Shevy734,

I understand you would like to know a little more about the new Home app, and what HomeKit accessories are available to you.  Take a look at the resources below, including a new category to purchase accessories in the Apple Store.  I've highlighted some key information for you below.  Click on the links for complete information.

    Home app - iOS 10

With the new Home app, you can securely control all your HomeKit accessories from your favorite iOS device. Have your iPhone turn off the lights. See who’s at the front door from your iPad. And even control things remotely with the help of Apple TV. The Home app makes all your connected devices work harder — and smarter — for you.

So many accessories. One easy way to control them.

No matter which compatible accessories you choose, the Home app makes it easy to set up and control all of them, all from one place. Over 50 brands worldwide are committed to providing products that are compatible with the HomeKit framework, and the number of available accessories is growing every day. And each of these products is reviewed and approved by Apple to help ensure your security when you use it.

Use the Home app on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

    Before you begin

    • Download iOS 10 for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
    • Make sure that you have one or more HomeKit-enabled accessories. Look for the label “Works with Apple HomeKit” on the product packaging.
    • On your device, sign in to iCloud with your Apple ID and make sure you turn on iCloud Keychain and Home to edit home users and use accessories on all your devices.
    • To set up accessories and automation, allow Home to use your location.

Automate and remotely access your HomeKit accessories

With the Home app, you can set up a home hub to control your HomeKit accessories remotely, grant access to the people you trust, and automate your accessories to do what you want, when you want.

    Set up your home hub

You can set up your iPad or Apple TV (4th generation) as a home hub to automate and remotely control your HomeKit accessories from your iOS device. The device you set up as a home hub must remain in your home, connected to your home Wi-Fi network, and powered on.

    Enjoy!
