Q: IOS 10 UPDATE- Not getting Text Messages

Since I updated to IOS 10 I have to constantly reboot my phone in order to send and receive text messages. Any suggestions please! I already tried to turn my imessages off and then back on ( to reactivate ) I have rebooted my phone several times ... I don't know what else to do from here.

SMS is a carrier feature, contact them and let them know their service isn't working on your phone.

GIven that SMS worked fine in iOS 9 and now doesn't in iOS 10, it would seem this is not the carriers problem.

Had the same issue. Go to Settings - Cellular - Cellular Data Options, then toggle Enable LTE to the "off" position. Should fix the issue, I think the update just reset a few things it probably shouldn't have.

Basic rules when you design any kind of update for any system, it should run ALL the features and services that worked before the update plus whatever the update brings. Sadly, this is NOT the first time that an update from Apple ruins the Customer Experience. It happened with iTunes, Aperture and IOS before, this is not exception. Messages worked as they are supposed to with previous version, cannot figure out how this could be a Carrier issue.

Question, the LTE feature should remain off? if this is the case you lose all the benefits from the Carrier's data Network. Regards
