Sep 21, 2016 10:47 AM in response to irina_wby Fred Connors Jr.,There is no Delete All in iOS 10, on my iPhone...

Sep 21, 2016 11:36 AM in response to vtak007by Fred Connors Jr.,Thanks for posting this link. iOS 10 disabled one of my POP email accounts and the only fix is the delete the account then re-Add the account. Well this resulted in thousands of email being downloaded to my iphone. The process in the link leaves out one important factor. You must manually delete one email to create the Trash folder or you cannot move the selected emails to the Trash. Mark all of the as Read was not necessary for me. YMMV.

Sep 21, 2016 9:49 PM in response to Alisonlowe76by B.Deis,Here is a workaround (until apple realizes this feature is necessary):
1. go to the individual inbox you wish to delete all
2. Tap "edit" in the top right corner
3. select any email (this will make "move" [bottom center] an option)
4. Tap and hold "move"
5. while holding move tap to de-select the email from step 3
6. Release "move" (this will bring up a list of destinations to move the emails)
7. Tap trash (this will move all your emails to the trash)

Sep 21, 2016 11:03 PM in response to Alisonlowe76by TGLusch007,Seems to me this is a bug. I mean, the same issue applies to flagging! I can flag all my email, but can't unflag all my emai!!! i learnt the hard way! The question is, will Apple just say it was designed that way?

Sep 22, 2016 4:30 AM in response to Alisonlowe76by smeetshim,Are you missing something? Yes you are. Go to Trash and select Edit. Now, without selecting any of the emails, hit the blue Delete All in the bottom right corner of the screen; all emails are then deleted. Note: If you start selecting emails the system assumes you are being 'selective' and the Delete All option is changed to Delete.

Sep 22, 2016 4:55 AM in response to smeetshimby TGLusch007,That's the point. That's how we expect it to work, but in IOS 10 it doesn't. At least for the majority of us on his thread.

You're missing the point of this discussion. It is not a problem to Delete All item that are already in the trash. Theissue is Delete All is missing from the InBox.

Sep 22, 2016 5:43 AM in response to Fred Connors Jr.by Prince17,Precisely. The previous version allowed us to Delete All straight from Inbox as well as Trash.
