Q: What is "periodic-io-microstackshot-report-xxxx-xx-xx-yyyyyy.ips

What is "periodic-io-microstackshot-report-xxxx-xx-xx-yyyyyy.ips"

And "periodic-microstackshot-report-xxxx-xx-xx-yyyyyy.ips"

Where x's are year-month-day

and y's seem to be random but are the same for io and no io.

I Will get these every day that I am using my ipad.  usually once, but can be more then once.  They are connected, that is to say for example if I get

periodic-io-microstackshot-report-2016-09-21-134823.ips

I will also have a file

periodic-microstackshot-report-2016-09-21-134823.ips

I have no idea what these are and why they are running.  They seem to have a lot of data in them.  I am not a heavy ipad user yet.  I use very few programs and don't know what is being checked or crashed or reporting.  These apps that I use show up in both reports yet they are not the only things in there.  There are a ton of things I don't recognize that seem to being checked.  I wonder what these reports are and if I should be concerned.  I am also curious what security ips' are too, though they stoped showing up.

Thank you for your concideration in answering my question.

At first glance it looks like it's running a power statistics report for running apps. Maybe something to do with the battery usage report? Try leaving it on AC for awhile and see if it still generates the same report as often.

II haven't thought about that.  I will try running it only connected to the ac tomorrow and see if it generates a report.  Though I never let it go below 80 % battery And never just leave it plugged in.  As of now I am still getting at least one a day.
