Q: Font Size in Safari locked on 9pt  after updating OS El Capitan yesterday.

After I updated my OS 10.11.6, all of the text fonts on Safari are locked at 9pt.  I have contacted Apple support and visited a Genus Bar and as of now there is no solution.  Does anyone have an idea of how to change the fonts to make them larger?

When we go to  safari preferences - advanced - the option about changing the text font has been removed .

Open Applications/Utilities/Terminal and copy/paste the below into the application, then hit return. Where the number 14 is, you can change that to 16, 18, or as desired.

    defaults write com.apple.Safari com.apple.Safari.ContentPageGroupIdentifier.WebKit2MinimumFontSize -int 14
