Q: Syncing new iPhone 7

I am trying to sync my new iPhone 7 up with a backup I created from my 6S. It used to just load stuff on there when I hooked my phone up to my computer. Now songs all load with the cloud icon next to them. Also have some that got totally screwed up. to be able to listen to my music offline I have to individually select each song to download it. How can I fix this?

    Hi TATide,

Congrats on your new iPhone 7! It looks like you may have iCloud Music Library enabled on your new device. If restoring the backup from your 6s made a bit of a mess of your iTunes or Apple Music library, no worries! The links below should assist you with getting them organized on your new iPhone 7.

How to download music to listen to offline

You can download songs, albums, or playlists to your device so that you can listen to them when you're not connected to the Internet.* You must download songs, albums, or playlists on each device that you want to use for offline listening.
In the Music app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or in iTunes on your Mac or PC, find the song, album, or playlist that you want to download. Then:
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Tap Download .
On your Mac or PC: Click Download .
If you don't see  or , you need to add the songs, albums, or playlists to your Library first.
    View only downloaded music
If you want to see only music that's downloaded to your device, follow these steps:
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: In the Music app, tap Library > Downloaded Music. A message that says "Showing only music on this [device]" appears at the top of the screen. Tap Library in the upper-left corner to see all of your music.
On your Mac or PC: In iTunes, click Library. Then, from the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or the top of the iTunes window, choose View > Only Downloaded Music. Choose View > All Music to see all of your music.

If you want to download music automatically
The first time that you download music to your device, you might see a message that asks if you want to download music automatically.
Tap Download Automatically to download all songs, albums, or playlists automatically to your device. The next time you add music to your Library, it also automatically downloads to your device.
Tap Not Now to download the music later.
If you want to turn on Automatic Downloads for all music that you add to your Library in the future, go to Settings > Music, then scroll to the Downloads section and tap Automatic Downloads.

I was hoping I could find a way to not have to select each song individually to download. I have like 1900 songs with that cloud next to it currently. They are all downloaded with my computer, but it is giving me these cloud icons next to every song now.

I understand. If the songs are already on your computer, then you can simply sync your iPhone 7 with your iTunes library that is currently on your computer. You may receive the warning that says the content on your new iPhone 7 will be replaced with the contents that is currently in your iTunes music library. If you are worried about losing the content currently on the device, perform a new backup then sync up with your computer.

Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iTunes on your computer using USB

This should do the trick to get those 1900 songs onto your device without downloading each individually. Take care!
