Q: iPad overheating when using Swift Playground

I'm a 15-year-old with an iPad mini 4 (16GB, iOS 10.0.1)

I notice that whenever I learn how to code Swift through the newly-released Swift Playground, the iPad will heat up rather quickly. I wonder if this app is processor-taxing or not? It seems to get hot around the right edge (maybe the position of A8?)

P.S: Swift Playground is awesome!

iPad Mini, iOS 9.3.2

    Hello, Ben Vietnam.

Thanks for choosing Apple Support Communities! Wonderful to hear that your enjoying swift playgrounds and have an interest to learn to code. As per my understanding, your iPad is heating up around the right corner while playing swift playgrounds.

I have swift playgrounds installed on my iPad Air 1, and so far I have seen no overheating. It could be that with the smaller iPad, that the internals are different and thus the less internals have more to do. I haven't seen anyone else with this problem yet, but would be happy to help you fix this problem. I think it could just be getting hot because of what its having to do, and thats completely normal. I would say probably nothing to worry about, but if you do want to get it checked out, take it to your local Apple Retail Store.

    Hope this helped!
