iPhone
Q: sync session failed to start
iOS 10.0.1 on an iPhone 6S Plus, iTunes 12.5.1.21 on OS X 10.11.6
After all updates today, I can no longer sync my phone via USB plug. Everything worked great until I updated iTunes so I suspect that's where the problem is. When I try to sync, either by plugging in the phone or via the Sync button in iTunes, I get the error: The iPhone "Blah" could not be synced because the sync session failed to start.
Seems like a serious bug in Apple's latest updates.

Hello pumpichank,
Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Community. I know how important it is to be able to keep your devices in sync, and I'd liked to help get your iPhone syncing with iTunes again.
If you have not already since the update, it's a good idea to restart both the Mac and the iPhone. If you have already done so and the issue persists, follow the steps and link in this article to isolate the error you are seeing :
If you see an error when you sync music in iTunes
If the behavior persists, or you run into any trouble, the entire community is here to help.
Best Regards
