Q: Why will my iPod not sync? For the thousandth time........
I've had tons of issues with iTunes and iPods for years. This iPod seems to be the worst though. It's a 64gb iPod Touch 5th Gen.
A few months ago it stopped being able to sync. It never adds anything, even if I dropped music or apps into the iPod logo. I couldn't delete things. I pretty much couldn't do anything aside from use what was on it already.
After posting on here before, I was told to restore it (which I have done in the past many, many MANY times), and so today i felt I had the time to do so. I tried backing it up, and it said it wasn't connected, after getting 99% of the backup done. Then I tried to restore it from an old backup, and after backing up almost completely, it said the iPod wasn't connected. THEN from the restored, blank iPod screen, I started a fresh iPod.
I went to sync it, and the apps wouldn't sync. I only had about 6 or 7 apps (like facebook, messenger, and some tiny apps for conversion and such). It sat in limbo for an hour "waiting" for the apps. I cancelled the sync and tried again. It did the same thing, but didn't let me cancel the sync, so I unplugged my iPod.
Then I cancelled automatic syncing, because I only need music on the iPod, which I had planned to add manually. I plugged it in and it started syncing apps. I unplugged it, (as it wouldn't cancel, again) and closed iTunes. I tried to get back into iTunes and it wouldn't open until I clicked it about 6000 times (give or take).
My iPod started syncing the apps again, (even after I told i to remove those apps and not to sync them) and it stuck YET AGAIN doing nothing but "waiting" for the apps.
Anyone know where I can speak to an Apple rep and send this iPod back or something? It's obviously got some kind of issue in the software, and it's not from me. I'm sick and tired of countless hours spent yelling at my computer at iTunes and my iPod for pretty much never working.
Don't ask if everything is updated. It is. It seems there's more issues after updating things anyways. I have restored this iPod probably a dozen times, each time taking 3-8 hours to sync, and pretty much never working right. There have been random songs missing at times (yes, the file is found by iTunes ad I can play all my music in iTunes, just not on my iPod), and now it's becoming worse and worse as time goes on.
Sorry for the long question, but I'm sick and tired of this. This company has screwed me on a $400 product which has pretty much never really worked quite right, and no matter what updates I get, or settings I change, or syncs, restores and "fixes" I try, it's worse than ever.
