Q: new computer,win10,wnt install early version
I just got a new computer, old one will not boot. I have a backup of my old drive which has iTunes on it. I have moved it onto my new C: drive, but it will not work, says "reinstall". I don't want the current version of iTunes, I want an earlier version that will "see" all of my music. I don't use anything on iTunes except iPod classic. I have all of my music in the iTunes folder. I have about 40 GB of CD's on it I want to keep. Everything is present on my iPod, albums, art, playlists, songs. I have DL'd several versions of iTunes. The only one that will install is the 64 bit current version. It will not "see" my music collection no matter where I put it. I captured one cd so I could see where to put the collection. I saw where the new CD was stored, so I put the collection in the same directory. It did not recognize any of the songs. I have heard that the current version of iTunes has a problem of losing titles, so I would like to go back to an early version that does not have this problem and that can "see" my CD collection. Good 'ol Apple will not let me install a 32 bit version on my computer, and the 64 bit versions will not work for me. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I have installed MediaMonkey Gold, which does see my entire collection, but I am not much of a software GURU !

See turingtest2's excellent iTunes for Windows Troubleshooting Guide at:

You can download almost any iTunes version you like from the iTunes installers section.
