Try restarting restarting in the Recovery Partition. Hold down Command + R on startup and then open Disk Utility and do First Aid on the HD.
If the computer still will not start, either visit an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have it repaired.

Startup up your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys.
From there you should be able to access the built in utilities to verify and repair the disk if necessary and restore OS X.

Sep 22, 2016 11:57 AM in response to ImJaimyby romanfromboulder,You can also try doing an internet recovery. This will download a copy the latest supported OS recovery for your laptop, and you can run an in place reinstall (only OS files are touched, not personal or Applications).

This is the article that explains how to do an internet recovery. As per the article, boot keys for internet recovery are Command + Option + R

Photos for MacInternet Recovery only works if the iMac is a 2012 or later model. The OP has not stated what vintage his machine is.
