Sep 22, 2016 11:51 PM in response to ShimonLebby MarceloAvalos,It's happening on my mid-2012 MacBook Air as well. It's been 3 days and the "System" pane is still stuck with the spinner thing. I even tried keeping my Mac plugged in and turned on all night, but it didn't work.

Sep 23, 2016 3:52 AM in response to ShimonLebby Teohab ,I ended up deleting my Retina Macbook pro 15 inch mid 2015 SSD, and clean installing Sierra, and manually transfer my files from a time machine back up. it 5ucks but it is the only way around.

1. system preferences,
2. Icloud,
3. click Options on "Icloud drive"
4. I remove: GarageBand, iMovie, iBooks and ready!

At el capitan system save after 4 gigabytes per day, and now you can save 50 gigabytes of data. This shortens the lifespan of an SSD. Every day Sierra stores 50 gigabytes of data ... It is a very serious mistake system that will quickly consume ssd drives. update_dyld_shared_cache process save a lot of data on hard drive...
