Sep 21, 2016 4:41 PM in response to brunowajskopby darren.s,Hi brunowajskop,
Congratulations on your new iPhone 7! I love to listen to music while in my car, so I can understand your concern about the sound dropping while playing music. I will be happy to help provide some information for you.
I know you have stated that you have done troubleshooting on your own, and I, thank you for that. Just to make sure that all the bases are covered for troubleshooting, I'd like you to take a look at this article and follow any steps that you haven't completed.

Sep 23, 2016 8:01 AM in response to brunowajskopby yoshjosh,I am also having frequent Bluetooth dropouts in my 2015 Ford Escape (Sync 2, latest updates) with my new iPhone 7 Plus. I never had this issue with any other iPhone or iOS version.
I tried un-pairing, re-pairing, deleting the profile on the phone and in the car, and resetting network settings. No luck. It's impossible to listen to music in the car now because it cuts out so frequently. It'll play fine for a while, then there are hiccups and what sound like sped-up music, then it gives out completely for several minutes. After a while, the phone disconnects completely then I can reconnect and start using it again.
This is very frustrating.

Sep 26, 2016 9:01 AM in response to brunowajskopby mrspinky,I, too, am having this issue with my iphone 7 plus. I've got a 2013 Acura MDX and my 6 worked fine before (even after iOS10 upgrade). I've updated to 10.0.2, thinking that would help, but nothing. I listen to spotify on my way to work and hate the fact that it will disconnect and reconnect multiple times. Extremely frustrating!

Sep 26, 2016 11:42 AM in response to brunowajskopby Cessna_172,Same EXACT issues in my 2013 Ford Taurus with SYNC 2. Quite aggravating. Everything worked fine with my 6+ on iOS 9 and 6S+ on iOS 10.

Sep 26, 2016 10:28 PM in response to brunowajskopby CyberEnt,I just got an iPhone 7+ Friday and I have the same issue In 2015 Lexus. I spent hours troubleshooting. When playing audio from iTunes, through bluetooth connection, randomly, the sound cuts out almost like an audio cd would skip. The music is downloaded to the iPhone so it's not a streaming issue. I closed all apps except iTunes fearing another open app was interfering and that didn't help. I disabled all voice commands in Lexus settings. I removed and restored bluetooth connection to car. I also tried turning off DSP and suround sound settings in Lexus. I have tried lowering the handset volume, tried iPhone eq settings on and off. Also shut off sound check in iPhone. i also noticed the same issue will occur when streaming pandora using the pandora app on my phone.
To troubleshoot , I reconnected my iPhone 6+ with same OS to Lexus and played music for 15 mins without any skip. So the issue is with iPhone 7+ not iOS, although it could be a new setting in iOS that is not on 6+. I connected my Iphone 7+ back through bluetooth on car and within a minute it "skipped" again.
Further to note the volume level of bluetooth audio is significantly lower on iPhone 7+. I can turn the handset volume up all the way and my cars volume up all the way and it's not really that loud. When I conmected the 6+ I can get to about half volume on handset before its distorted and too loud.
I'm serioulsy frustrated that I cannot play audio in my car without it cutting in and out every few seconds.

Sep 26, 2016 10:55 PM in response to CyberEntby CyberEnt,Update: connected the 7+ to one of my soundbars using Bluetooth and played through 10 mins of audio in iTunes and no cutting in or out. So now I'm sure it's with the IPhone 7+ and the Lexus bluetooth specifically.

Sep 27, 2016 6:46 AM in response to brunowajskopby davidsignal,I am having the same issues with a Ford Sync system. It worked fine with iphone 6+ and iphone 6s+, but iPhone 7+ is awful. For now, I go through the trouble of plugging in the USB cord to listen to music and navigation.
BT headphones work fine. It is some kind of issue connecting to Ford Sync that didn't exist before iPhone 7.

Sep 27, 2016 10:36 AM in response to brunowajskopby 0gravity0,I also have this issue on my 2015 BMW. I have updated the firmware on my vehicle and even tried the latest 10.1 beta and it still cuts out. At least spotify works now.

Sep 27, 2016 10:43 AM in response to 0gravity0by mrspinky,My husband has beta and says that spotify works in his 2013 lexus, but since he immediately went to 10.1, we were not able to try 10.0.2, which is what I have now which has the frequent disconnects.

Sep 27, 2016 3:57 PM in response to brunowajskopby CyberEnt,I placed a call to the Lexus Technology Specialist for my local dealership and discussed the issue with him and how I troubleshooted it down to being specifically a Iphone 7/7+ issue when connected VIA bluetooth to the vehicle.
He acknowledged that although I was the first one to report the issue that he is aware of, they have been expecting this issue because Lexus vehicles, even up to 2016 are using the old bluetooth protocol and the iphone 7 is only using the new protocol. He stated he will start researching the issue, but updating the bluetooth protocol in the vehicle can not be done with a software update. It will require a hardware update which he suspects that Lexus will not do under warranty.
I will update this post when I get more info from him.

Sep 28, 2016 4:24 AM in response to CyberEntby davidsignal,Whatever new features are in the BT protocol that Apple is using in iPhone 7, it should be backwards compatible with previous BT, if working correctly.

Sep 28, 2016 7:14 AM in response to mrspinkyby mjm24,Same here, 2011 Acura MDX, Pandora and Downcast both drop out regularly (have not tried others). Sometimes it reconnects as a speaker (no wireless signal displayed and can't accept/place calls) and other times it connects regularly. I have tried turning off Handoff and change the bluetooth setting from "automatic" to "headset" in the accessibility settings but nothing has helped. I had a iPhone 6s Plus on iOS10 with no issues but the iPhone 7 Plus is having this issue.
