Sep 23, 2016 8:11 AM in response to manoritltdby elcpu,★HelpfulTry holding down these buttons at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears: a) the Sleep/Wake button and the Volume down button (iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus) or b) the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button (all other models)
If a restart does not help try a System Restore. First backup your device using iTunes. Also import your photos to your computer and copy all important data if possible. Try restoring from backup first and testing it. If it does not help, you may have to restore as New and reconfigure from scratch as the backup could be corrupted. For this reason it is important to have your photos and data saved separately from the backup. Here are the steps for a Restore:

If the above steps do not help, you may have to have it tested at an Apple store.

Sep 23, 2016 8:30 AM in response to manoritltdby elcpu,Sorry to hear... at this point it appears that your best option is to take it to an Apple Store for evaluation. Since you did a Restore as New and it did not help, the software is not the issue. Good luck, the 6 Plus is too new to be having this problems but unfortunately electronics do go on the blink sometimes.

Sep 28, 2016 10:06 AM in response to manoritltdby ZakfromATX,I don't believe this problem is hardware related as I have the same issue as does my girlfriend using an iPhone 6 (I have a Plus). How do we get a response from an Apple rep rather than the monkey house?? We have all done the usual (soft resets, hard resets, restores, etc..) with no resolution. This is incredibly frustrating and the problem needs to be acknowledged and addressed ASAP!!

Sep 28, 2016 4:56 PM in response to manoritltdby fuzzyGourmet,I found this issue also when using the phone app. I have just received a carrier update for the phone so I am hoping that this will fix the freezing issue when using the phone app.

Sep 30, 2016 8:53 PM in response to manoritltdby OrganicGrl,Has anyone found a solution. I've updated to ios10 on my iphone 6 and its frustrating while i'm typing it freezes. Messages app, instagram etc. I don't know what else to do. I've downgraded and didn't have problems on 9.3 but it accidently updated it. I restored, started new, erase date power down, everything I can possibly think of including resetting all settings. This phone is really making me mad.

Oct 3, 2016 5:59 AM in response to OrganicGrlby floydtemple,I have this very same problem on both my iPhone 6 and iPad. I tried restoring my iPad to factory and still same issue. I found that if I turn off all of the autocorrect stuff on under keyboard in settings it is much better. It is a pain because autocorrect, predictive text etc are no longer available but it is not freezing up anymore so far.
