Q: iOS 10 Clock

I opened Clock for the first time in iOS10 and was aghast to find out that it now has white lettering on a black background, and there is no way to turn it back to having a much more readable, easier on the eyes, black lettering on a white background. I contacted Apple Support and the only suggestion they had was to give feedback to Apple.

The other annoying feature of Clock in iOS 10 is the Bedtime feature. Click it and you are told: Going to bed and waking up at the same times every day are keys to healthy sleep.

Oh, really? Give me a break. I don't need my iPhone to tell me when to go beddy bye and when to wake up. This is the most infantile feature yet.

Again, Apple is not here, so expressing your disdain for their design choices is falling on deaf and uninterested ears.

You might want to try to put it in perspective, however, if you really are feeling anger about this. Sounds like a little balance in your life would be a good thing.....

I'm angry that an innocent man was shot and killed by police in Oklahoma. We seem to have different priorities. There's nothing that can be done about my anger, but you can resolve yours by installing one of the hundreds of clock apps in the app store. I'm sure there's one that meets your exacting specifications.

I also find the beddie-bye feature a bit silly, and ignorant of professionals' lifestyle, but it can be ignored. However, white lettering on a black background it a real problem for some of us. Those of us with dyslexia, it is a nightmare. Please, please, Apple, give us the option to turn it back to black on white!!!!!!

Apple still isn't here. Send your feedback to them: Apple - Feedback. We can't help you - we are just users like you.

I feel that way about Reminders. Adults should be able to remember what they have to do without silly, ignorant apps nagging them.

I, obviously missed your point, and failed to even see who it was from (eyeroll)....

Of course, if I had know it was "us" posting, I would have recognized it what it was for....

So, for those who think that Meg has identified yet another annoying aspect of the myriad of option we have on iOS devices, (as opposed to actually putting her answer in context), here would be the answer to that:

They only nag you if you use them. If you think they are stupid, then why use them at all? See, the nice thing about being an adult with an intelligent device that has a whole lot of features, is to be able to pick and choose which features are relevant to you and your lifestyle. The rest are just gravy, and can be played with at will, or simply ignored.

Are you having an issue in being unable to turn off Reminders or something?

    @ Lawrence

    Totally aggreed!

It's scarying how people can be so upset about minor matters; especially when there are so many alternatives.

    @robinboast, Meg St._Clair

    What about adults?!

As I already wrote avove; so many people (adults) seem to need a life tracker/ sports watch that tells them that they didn't sleep well (me I know that when I get up tired in the morning) and that they have to use stairs or to make another 500 steps.

    @ "some others"

By the way technical instruments, dive watches, aviation instruments etc. have black dial-plates with white hands and numbers because of better legibility.

I aggree, it should be easy to program a chance to choose. But nobody in this forum is able to realize that.

So place your protest note like in politics and nothing will change.

In total: In my eyes it's really not worth to discuss a topic like this over 4 pages!

There are more important ones: f.ex. that Apple disabled with iOS10 that "Battery Life" shows charge/ discharge cycles of the battery.
