lol.. they just need to make everything here in America. Trump2016!

Right. Make iPhones in America. Then they will cost $5,000 instead of $500 if Trump is elected. Really smart move.

I was going to go with $3,000 but also predict a shortage as we train people to build them and build factories. And I'm sure this person, and Mr. Trump, own a Mac Pro computer as it is made in the US.

my friends ordered theirs from ATT well after I ordered mine and they have theirs already.  It just goes to show we should order from their subcontractors, apples profits will be cut when they have to pay commissions but it may make them think twice about who they use to ship us our phones.  I wish I had gone to ATT directly, they also gave a free iPad as well. Lesson learned. Apple doesn't care after they get our $1000 for a darn phone.

Define "well after I ordered mine."

No, their profits will not be cut and if you are adept with searches you can find similar complaints regarding FedEx (who used to handle iPhone shipments and also had similar issues), DHL, etc.

Let me understand, if you don't mind. This worked up because your phone may be a little late? Not because you're not getting your phone, it's still coming your way, but because it may not come to you the estimate (remember, it's a delivery estimate) they gave you was just that: an estimate.

Also, what do you expect Apple to do about UPS's delivery responsibilities?

Two candles, dyablo7plus is apparently undergoing this same "nightmare".  Does this put a late pizza delivery on a "regional catastrophe" rating, necessitating FEMA funding for recovery?

No, they would still cost $500, but the Americans making them would earn $2/hour.

$2 an hour? 4 times what Foxconn's assemblers get paid?

    From 2012 article:

    http://economix.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/02/24/the-ieconomy-how-much-do-foxconn-wo rkers-make/?_r=0

"with basic salary alone, Foxconn assembly-line workers will make as much as $400 a month, based on location and passing a probationary period. That’s for 160 working hours a month, so the hourly pay is about $2.50."

The upside of a thousand-dollar iPhone would be it might change this 2 year obsolescence we have now because people would likely insist upon longer-lasting products.

Same issue here in Australia. I was keep on being informed that the new iPhone will be delivered in the promised time range. I need to carry my new phone overseas ONE WEEK AFTER the estimated delivery date.

It just turns out that it was JUST SHIPPED OUT from OVERSEAS factory AFTER the ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATE. A MAJOR DELAY is estimated, and the current estimated delivery date is after my flight. Truly a NIGHTMARE!

Have NOT received any notification of the major delay from Apple. All the shipping information were just provided by TNT after the phone has been shipped out.

Very disappointed at the Apple’s service and lack of reliability

Wondering if contacting Apple sales 133-622 on Monday will help.

That's correct. Once the phone is in the hands of the delivery service, they are the ones who provide you with information and updates. They are the ones with that information, not Apple. It would be a waste of time for them to tell Apple so that Apple could tell you.
