Q: warrenty case or not? See video (mute switch loose c.)

Hi,

a friend of mine wants to sell an iphone 6s plus. Problem: the mute switch has a loose connection (see the linked video). warrenty ends Nov.2016. Will apple fix it for free?

No way to know without having Apple look at it.

It's impossible for us to say what Apple will or won't do since we are not Apple.

If it's defective, and covered under warranty, then they should repair or replace it. If the phone was physically damaged in some way, including liquid damage, then no, Apple will not fix it for free, someone will have to pay for an out of warranty replacement.

If the phone was ever physically opened by an unauthorized party, Apple won't touch it.

If your friend really wants to sell it, and it's under warranty, tell them to take it in and get the problem fixed before you buy it.
