i received this email from Service, INC. I just wanted to make sure this is or is not scam mail.

    It is most likely a phishing attempt. Do not respond. Do not divulge any personal or financial information. You can use the address below to forward the suspect email message, as an attachment to Apple.

    You have AT&T service, so I assume you're in the US, but the message is from Apple Canada and refers to a transaction in CAD funds.

     

    Use of a GMT timestamp?

     

    Military/European date style?

     

    "Dear," is empty

     

    That is not the website to update your Apple password(s).

     

    The message implies "changes to your Apple ID" and then refers to a transaction. A purchase/transaction is not a change to your Apple ID. They have mixed 2 "styles" of phishing into one message.

     

    Lots of clues there... this is a phishing  attempt, and a poor one at that.

    Another clue would be: You hover over the link they want you to click, and see that it is not really update.apple.com
