    • On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 9, you can access your files from the iCloud Drive app. To show or hide the app, go to Settings > iCloud > iCloud Drive. Next to Show on Home Screen, choose On or Off.

Thanks, Carolyn, but i've done that, as well.  When i open Icloud drive from either my ipad pro or my iPhone 6, this is what i see...  "0 items, 457 MB available...". Why can't i see the files that are actually there (so that i can clean them up)?  Thanks again...

Have you checked using a computer to see if they are at iCloud.com?

What have you placed in iCloud Drive and from where?

The iCloud Drive app is not a place to view "everything" in your iCloud account. It only accesses the contents of iCloud Drive itself.

You must have 4.5GB of something stored in your iCloud storage, not necessarily in iCloud Drive.

Now this is interesting... What is the difference between iCloud storage and iCloud drive?

I presume that what is in my icloud account are the contents of my iphonE and maybe former macbook pro backups over the years...?

Think of iCloud as a desk.

iCloud Drive is one drawer, separate and unique from the others and only holds pens and pencils.

iCloud Backup is another drawer for paper supplies.

iCloud Photo Library is the big cupboard the left side of the desk that only holds file folders.

Your iPhone backups are on iCloud, but only accessible from a phone. There would not be Macbook Pro backups on iCloud unless you copied that data to iCloud Drive as that is the only "open" type of storage possible on iCloud.

The iCloud.com website is a secure location to view some, but not all of your iCloud content.

You are welcome. iCloud.com on a device. Using Safari, you can tap and hold the Refresh icon (semi-circular arrow) in the URL bar until "Request Desktop Site" appears and then tap that. The ability to do things is much less than when logged in using a computer.
