Q: ios 10 white background

I had a perfectly white background on my home screen, you know the one that can blend the white icons. I just updated to iOS10 and after the update that same white background looks grey and the icons are still pure white.

Unfortunately, there isn't anything you can do about this. iOS may automatically add a darker layer over a wallpaper so that app icons, names, and the status bar are clearly visible. Exactly how it decides when to do so is a mystery and it may vary by version of iOS. I create my own wallpapers for my phone and frequently run into this issue with lighter colors. I also just tested pure white with iOS 10, and yes it is darkened on my phone as well.
